Tracksuit Acquires Sydney Startup Hall to Integrate AI Visibility Measurement

Brand tracking company Tracksuit has finalized the acquisition of Sydney-based startup Hall, a move that integrates artificial intelligence visibility measurement into Tracksuit's core platform. The acquisition comes as marketers increasingly grapple with how their brands are depicted and discovered through AI search tools and recommendation engines.

Through this deal, Hall's proprietary technology and staff will transition to Tracksuit. This includes Hall's founder, Kai Forsyth, who joins the company as principal product manager to guide the product direction for AI visibility.

Navigating the Dual Audiences of Modern Marketing

The integration of Hall's technology aims to help marketers address two distinct audiences that dictate brand health: human consumers and machine learning systems. While brands have traditionally measured human awareness and perception, the rapid adoption of AI platforms has introduced a new hurdle. Marketers must now understand whether machine learning systems are recommending their products, and if those portrayals are accurate.

With this new feature, Tracksuit's customers can evaluate how their brands appear across various AI platforms. The tools allow businesses to compare their AI-driven visibility directly with competitors and monitor how these patterns shift over time.

According to Forsyth, insights gathered during the development of Hall indicate that quick, short-term fixes do not sustain long-term AI visibility. Instead, the same core brand-building work that fosters human trust is what ultimately drives machine-generated recommendations. Integrating this capability within a platform that already holds human perception data for tens of thousands of brands will give marketers a clearer picture of their brand's overall trajectory.

Tracksuit’s co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Connor Archbold, echoed this sentiment, stating that while the locations where brands are experienced have evolved to include AI systems, the fundamental principles of building a great brand remain unchanged.

Executive Restructuring and Global Expansion

The acquisition coincides with a significant expansion of Tracksuit's executive leadership team over the past six months, achieved through a combination of internal promotions and external hires.

The newly finalized leadership lineup includes:

  • Connor Archbold as Chief Executive Officer
  • Tom Mansfield as Chief Marketing Officer
  • Dan Fleming as Chief Operating Officer
  • Anne Dröge as Chief Product Officer
  • Cara Fonseca-Ensor as Chief Technology Officer
  • Hamish Mathieson as Chief Revenue Officer
  • Samantha Gadd as Chief People Officer

These appointments are designed to support Tracksuit's international scaling efforts. Currently, the company’s brand-tracking platform is utilized by more than 1,000 consumer brands across 25 international markets, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

Commenting on the strategic direction, Mansfield noted that in an ecosystem heavily shaped by artificial intelligence, establishing a strong brand serves as one of the final defensible assets available to marketers. The company's ultimate goal remains bringing accessible, user-friendly brand data into corporate boardrooms worldwide.
