KnowBe4 Launches Custom AI Video Builder to Combat Targeted Generative AI Social Engineering

KnowBe4, a provider of digital workforce security specializing in securing both AI agents and humans, has launched a new tool called the Custom AI Video Builder. The tool is designed to allow security administrators to create custom, AI-generated training videos and deploy them directly into security awareness training (SAT) programs within minutes. This capability is the newest addition to the company's AI-native content customization suite and expands upon its strategic partnership with Synthesia.

The release comes as a response to the evolving threat landscape. Attackers are increasingly leveraging generative AI to launch highly localized and precise social engineering campaigns. These campaigns target specific roles, industries, and regions, exploiting workflow gaps that traditional security training materials often fail to address. The Custom AI Video Builder aims to bridge this gap by enabling security teams to quickly create targeted content.

Streamlining Video Production to Match Emerging Threats

According to Greg Kras, Chief Product Officer of KnowBe4, generative AI has enabled attackers to craft malicious campaigns tailored to specific policies, roles, and regions where training resources do not yet exist.

"Generative AI has given attackers the ability to build campaigns around the exact policies, roles and regions where training doesn’t yet exist," Kras stated. "Custom AI Video Builder closes that window by putting studio-quality video production directly inside the KnowBe4 platform, so customers can go from a new threat to a finished training module without waiting on a production cycle."

Through KnowBe4's ModStore, customers can activate a prepaid Synthesia Starter License, valued at $250 annually, at no additional cost. This license provides access to over 120 AI avatars and support for more than 160 languages and dialects. Admins can generate up to 120 minutes of narrated video content each year.

Key Capabilities of the Custom AI Video Builder

The feature is fully integrated into KnowBe4's existing ecosystem and includes several core functionalities:

• Integrated Video Pipeline: Security administrators can produce up to 120 minutes of custom training video annually and publish it directly to their training campaigns.
• Global AI Dubbing Suite: The tool supports localization across more than 160 languages and dialects, enabling organizations to deploy high-fidelity, region-specific training to global workforces.
• Automated SCORM Ingestion: Once a video is completed, it is automatically routed to the ModStore's Uploaded Content library, eliminating the manual steps of downloading and re-uploading files.
• Content Creation Agent Integration: The video builder integrates natively with the Content Creation Agent, allowing administrators to layer studio-quality video directly onto AI-generated, text-based training programs.

A Unified AI-Native Customization Suite

The Custom AI Video Builder joins two other tools inside the ModStore: the Content Creation Agent and the Deepfake Training Content Agent. Together, these three tools comprise KnowBe4's AI-native content customization suite. By combining these capabilities, administrators can build highly customized, multi-modal training courses that address specific security challenges quickly, bypass traditional production cycles, and keep pace with malicious actors.

Availability and Recent Recognition

The Custom AI Video Builder is available immediately to KnowBe4 customers holding Platinum, Diamond, Training-Only Diamond, SAT Foundation, and SAT Advanced subscriptions. Eligible users can activate their prepaid Synthesia Starter License directly through the ModStore.

The product launch follows another recent milestone for the company, as KnowBe4 was recognized with an award in the email security category earlier this month.
